Nice to meet you, Vegas

Jeremy and I left our Los Angeles apartment on July 31st and drove down to Encinitas to visit with my cousins for a couple of days before beginning our 10 day journey. Our first stop was Las Vegas. It was my first time there, but we could stay only one night. What does one do with one night in Vegas?
The old strip, of course.

Bye LA
We'd been thinking about going back to Boston for a while. Since I moved to Los Angeles in October, 1998, I knew I wouldn't stay for the rest of my life. After all, I'm a New Englander. I was suprised, though, at how LA slowly sucked me in. Maybe it wasn't LA so much as it was California. I always loved fall and winter, but there was something nice about feeling warmth most of the year. Plus, burger joints like In-n-Out and Tommy's have a huge appeal. :) Yeah... I could have almost stayed...When I told people that Jeremy and I were moving back they made sure I was aware that it's cold in Boston. I appreciated this important information. They wondered why I would move back. I understood the question. I've been working on films. I've had 5 films in film festivals. Shouldn't I stay where the film industry is?
These days one can make a film anywhere. And while there are so many pluses to being in LA, there are different pluses elsewhere. Plus, Massachusetts is striving to bring more filming here. I want to be a part of it.
The main reason for moving back is family. As the years move on, it gets harder and harder for me to be away. Jeremy is from LA, but his closest family is now on the East coast anyway. Also, since after Jeremy lived in Boston for a couple of years a decade and a half ago, he has always wanted to move back.
So we decided several months ago to plan the move back to Massachusetts. (I admit I played that Bee Gee's song.) The one thing we decided we must do, was to drive across. Jeremy's been all over the world, and I love travelling myself, but neither of us had ever driven all the way from coast to coast.
